Straight answers on McGregor Blvd, Fort Myers

Can I Use My HSA for SoftWave?

Yes. At our clinic on McGregor Blvd, you can pay for SoftWave with your HSA card. HSA stands for health savings account.

People in Fort Myers ask us about money before almost anything else. That is fair. You should know how you will pay before you walk in. This page keeps it simple. The first step costs $49.

How do I pay at the clinic?

You can pay with your HSA card.

That is the whole policy. There are no forms to send off and no long wait to hear back. You pay at the clinic, and you can use your HSA card to do it.

If you are not sure about something, call 239.243.8810. We would rather talk it through on the phone than surprise you at the desk.

Should I check with my HSA provider?

Yes. Every HSA account has its own provider, and they know the rules for your account. Before your visit, it is a good idea to call the number on the back of your HSA card.

Here are a few things you can ask them. Write the answers down.

  1. How much money is in my account right now?
  2. Can I use my HSA card for SoftWave at a chiropractor's office?
  3. Do I need to keep a receipt for this visit?
  4. Is there a limit on how much I can spend at one time?

Get the name of the person you talked to and the date. If you ever need to look back, that note helps.

Can I use my HSA for the $49 mapping?

Yes. The mapping session is $49, and you can pay for it with your HSA card.

At the mapping, we move the SoftWave wand over the sore area. We find the spots that react, explain what we see and tell you if a plan makes sense. If it does not, you have spent $49, not hundreds.

See what happens at the mapping session, step by step.

Start with a $49 mapping session

  • We find the spots that hurt
  • A straight yes or no on SoftWave
  • No pressure to buy a plan
  • If it's not for you, you are out $49, not thousands

Why do we start with a mapping?

Because it keeps your risk small. We do not want you to pay for a full plan before you know if SoftWave fits your pain.

Picture a retired couple from Cypress Lake. He has a sore shoulder from years of fishing off the Sanibel Causeway. She has heel pain. Both have HSA cards. Neither wants to spend a lot without knowing if it fits. The mapping answers that first. Then they decide, and they pay with the card they already carry.

That is how we like to work. A small first step, a clear answer, then your choice.

What does a full plan cost?

Plan price: $100 per session, or 6 sessions for $540 (that is $90 a session).

Our usual plan is 6 to 8 sessions over about 6 to 8 weeks. Each visit takes about 20 minutes, with about 10 to 15 minutes of treatment. Your number may be lower or higher. It depends on what the mapping shows and how your body responds.

We write down the plan, the number of sessions and the total before you agree to anything. If something is not clear, ask. We will explain it again.

More detail is on our SoftWave therapy cost page.

What should I bring to my first visit?

  • Your HSA card
  • A list of the medicines you take
  • Any X-ray or MRI reports you have
  • Clothes that make the sore spot easy to reach

Not sure what to bring? Call us and we will tell you.

What is SoftWave?

SoftWave sends gentle sound waves into sore tissue. The body reads them as a signal to repair. SoftWave devices have FDA 510(k) clearance for certain uses, such as activating connective tissue and improving blood supply.

Conditions our clinic treats include knee, shoulder, back and elbow pain, arthritis, neuropathy (nerve pain or numbness), plantar fasciitis and tendonitis.

We will not promise results. Patients often report feeling better after a full plan, but every body is different. Whether it is worth it depends on what the pain is costing you now: skipped walks, lost sleep, a golf bag in the garage.

Dr. Lee Angle, D.C. (Doctor of Chiropractic), leads care at Upper Cervical Health Centers. Matthew Mahoney runs the sessions.
